Bi Pride UK has won the award for Charity of the Year at the LGBT Awards 2020, making us the first bi charity to ever win an award of this type. The award came with a cash prize of £2000, and recognised the impact we have made on the lives
We are excited to announce that we’ll be showering Swansea with a wave of pink, purple, blue and yellow on Saturday the 16th of May, as we team up with Bi Cymru, to launch our Bi Pride Local event, and the 10th year anniversary of BiFest Wales. We’re calling all bis and allies to come down and support this grassroots pride event.
We are delighted to announce that Bi Pride UK has been shortlisted for the 2020 British LGBT Awards.
We’ve made the top ten in the ‘Charities or Community Initiatives’ category, and we are thrilled to be up against some incredible, important organisations.
On the 7th of September, Bi Pride UK painted The Round Chapel in Hackney, pink, purple, blue and yellow , to promote bi visibility and discuss serious issues regarding bi erasure and biphobia. Over 1,300 members of the public came along to witness the jaw-dropping performers and powerful discussions, and Bi Pride UK can now proudly claim the title of the biggest bi gathering in history!
Here at Bi Pride UK HQ we believe in putting on a Pride that’s YOURS and involving YOU in YOUR big day. Therefore, we want to hear your perspective on having attraction beyond gender. It doesn’t matter where you’re from, it doesn’t matter who you are, it especially doesn’t matter who you’re attracted to, we want to project YOUR story on our ‘Main Stage’ and our ‘I Am Proud’ stage at Bi Pride UK 2019.
So here at Bi Pride UK HQ we’re all incredibly excited (and incredibly busy) getting ready for our first ever Bi Pride event! As it’s a first EVER for this country I thought I’d grab the Chair themselves, Abigail Kay, to take a few minutes out of their hectic schedule to answer a few ‘need-to-knows’ about Bi Pride UK and our eagerly anticipated event.
