We hope that you are looking forward to the broadcasting of this year’s Bi Pride festival and just wanted to give some details surrounding accessibility of this year’s event along with further details on where to find the festivities.

The Platform

This year we will be broadcasting on Twitch, Facebook, and YouTube. All platforms will have moderated chats which allows you to interact from home. Facebook and YouTube are accessible with screen readers.

British Sign Language (BSL) Interpretation

BSL is present throughout all of the festival this year, including our live host and until the introduction from our closing DJ set. Once again it is being provided by the brilliant Max Marchewicz!

Audio Description

Audio descriptions are available at the beginning of each panel and performances include audio description of performers at the beginning of the set. We would like to offer a full audio description and this is an area we are working to improve on for future events.

Content Notes

We are including content warning before panel and performances if they contain any content that could be triggering, or cause upset or discomfort.

Financial Access

The event is completely free to attend, and all contributors have been paid for their time and performances.

External Risk

Bi Pride UK does not stand for prejudice, discrimination, or abuse of anyone, and we will not tolerate intolerance in our live stream chats. We will have live moderators on all platforms the festival is being streamed to. Our moderator team will be working hard to remove, flag and report any examples of the above but, given the event is in a public space, we cannot guarantee we will catch everything, nor can we guarantee it will be free from individuals whose only intent is to cause harm to others. Should this happen we will remove such people as quickly as possible.

We intend for this year to be the best Bi Pride event it can be; we look forward to reading your messages and celebrating attraction beyond gender on the 18th September 2021!
