Bi Pride UK will return both in person and online on Saturday 3rd September 2022 as part of its renewed quest to bring together diverse communities. River Medway and Victoria Scone, both famed following their debut on Rupaul’s Drag Race UK, will join performers at the highly anticipated event.
The one-day event will take place in East London at The People’s Palace with supporters traveling from across the country for one of the UK’s largest gatherings of Bi people in history. This year’s event will take place during the 50th anniversary of Pride in the UK to create spaces where people who experience attraction beyond gender can be freely visible and celebrate themselves and their identities..
Avi Kay, Chair of Bi Pride UK, said: “We truly are delighted to bring so many people together to protest the unjust treatment of bi people but more importantly to provide a space for us to organise, learn and empower our communities”
“We can’t wait to have River Medway and Victoria Scone on the stage, this is also a renewed opportunity to showcase the breadth of talent within our communities and we can’t wait to host everyone.”
The volunteer-led charity has also announced its intentions to deliver an array of artists and performers as well as various panels and interviews. Organisers have reiterated their request for people to sign up as volunteers to help deliver the historic event.
Bi Pride UK has been established to celebrate the vibrant and inspiring people we look up to educate, inform, and make lasting change. Bi Pride UK returns following the launch of the UK’s very first Bi Pride event in September 2019.
